Richard Avedon- photographer in fashion and fine art

Richard Avedon was born in 1923 in  New York, he was single handily responsible for changing the way women were photographed. Before Avedon, women were simply photographed emotionless and indifferent to the camera, instead Avedon showed them smiling, full of life and often in action shots. Most of his photographs were in black and white, i personally love this about them.
