Digital Technology & Print Production, Creative brief- Essential Elements


Here is a list of what a good 'Creative Brief' should include; I gathered this information from watching several clips from U-tube about how to create a perfect brief, from professionals who create briefs every day for paying clients.
A Creative Brief should include;
  • Eye catching  design/layout
  • It should inspire the people working with the brief
  • The overall 'purpose' of the brief should be clearly stated
  • Background on product/company
  • Timeline
  • Don’t leave too many questions open
  • Use inspiring words (Delicious)
  • Get to the point quickly
  • Simplicity is the key- The brief should be easy to read
  • Know your audience
  • Define the tone of the company you are creating the brief for
  • It should be clear what it is you are trying to achieve
